Nov 2011 Newsletter

The next event to show our voice is on Thursday Nov 17th. Meet by Dominoe's in Moses Lake at 5:30pm with your sign and show support for the "99% movement" click here for more info.

On Dec 2 the GCD's will be at the Agricultural Parade. Decorate a truck, or bring a sign along with your kids/ dogs and join us! Jay Clough will be there to meet and greet. The theme is about agriculture, and we need to have an "agricultural look". The downtown event starts about 5:00pm, and the parade starts at 7:00pm.

The "Hot Dog" Rally on Oct 22 was a success. A good showing of fellow Democrats came out to meet Jay Clough and eat the free hot dogs and chips.

Carolyn organized a "Main Street" rally in October that resulted in a lot of pictures of us and a great write up in the Columbia Basin Herald. Ryan Lancaster at the Herald has been a great resource to get the Democrats name out in public.

At the October meeting Jay came and gave us needed input on setting up a local phone bank to keep in touch with our fellow Democrats in the county. We utilized it the next Tuesday to get calls out for Brian McGowan's campaign for Port Commissioner. A session was also spent on setting up our "Vote Builder's" databank.

The November meeting will be for the Executive Committee only, as we will be deciding on the agenda for the Grant County Democrats in 2012. There will be no December meeting (enjoy the holidays and your family's). Be ready to jump in and help in January of 2012 as we get ready to tackle a very important election year.

Keep in touch with your fellow democrats on Facebook (Grant County Democrats) and view upcoming events on the Grant County Website.
